Join us for a guided walk from Water Row in Govan to the historic A-listed graving docks.
- Hear about some of the story of the post-industrial riverside, Govan’s historic dry docks and the campaign to save them
- See where cattle once crossed the river, where kings were once crowned and mighty ships once launched
- See where modern maritime industry could transform the prospects of Govan
For more information about dates and times of guided walks and to book your place, please refer to our Eventbrite booking page.
Walks are for groups of up to 12 people. The format of the walks is very informal and aimed to encourage open discussion and sharing of thoughts and insights rather than just being a walking lecture. We meet near the fountain at Water Row – see the Google map for the location.
Participants must be at least 16 years of age. If you have any specific requirements or disabilities please contact us before booking.
The walks are free of charge however if you wish to make a gratuity to support our work (with or without coming along to the walks) that will be thankfully received. Find out more on our support page.
Please note that taking part in the walks is entirely at your own risk. Sturdy footwear is recommended, as although walks are entirely on the public thoroughfare, parts of the route may be uneven. For safety reasons we will be unable to enter the actual graving dock site.
